Snakes in the Water Room

I have now gone to the Water Room with both Brutus and Random and have not succeeded in finding out how to release the snakes behind the blue laser barriers.

Am I missing something, or is this only available with Random's party?

With Random's party they come out on their own at some point, with another party you can release them. But that just might not possible with all teams.

Yes, but what I did can only be done with this special formation I played with.

FOH seems to have more puzzles from what you guys talk here than the original Laxius series .. I assume there are no side quests or secret rooms in this one ... right ?

No it doesn't have puzzles per say. I hate puzzles, for the life of me.
No sidequests.
Secret rooms exist but they are not counted like in, say, 3 Stars.

SO if secret rooms exist but are not counted .... that means we don't know how many of them are and we can't keep track if we find them all until the end of the game ?

Actually there're only a few iirc.
It's not really a game focusing on secret rooms.

The kind of secret rooms we're used to? Like walking into a wall and ending up in one?
I don't recall finding any like that.

I can think of at least one but maybe that's the only one in the game.
Anyway if the sole reason to play is for secret rooms then this is not the best game for this.

It's nothing major though.

IMO far more than secret rooms the interest in the game lies in its 20+ playable characters.
