I'll put the response in spoilers:

Spoiler: show
Zabbas has a couple good items, but most are just useless and can't even be used. The scroll that writes itself is one of those items. Usually they show up in the items -> all list as they have no category at all, though some I just show text and don't put the item in as it has zero use in the game anyways. Aurora has some of those too as well.

I'm not at home so can't confirm but if I recall right it is on the far NW side of the mountain range. Once I get home I can look it up in more detail and confirm it for you though if still needed.

Still can't find it. The closest I can get to in the far NW corner is on a cliff overlooking a lower area with a burial cross and some stairs leading up.

I don't see a skeleton down there but I can't see all of that area and I can't find a way to get down there.

I haven't been taking detailed notes of what I find, but my memory is that you are in the wrong place. If you go up the left side of the map, you start going up a couple of ramps. To your left of the first one is a cave with some nasty enemies (I think they're called Stroka, or something like that). Then there are a couple more ramps and straight in front of you is a small higher place. My memory is that there are steps there rather than a ramp. At the top is a visible enemy and a skeleton. That enemy is one of those Stroka, and I'm fairly sure that the skeleton is the one with the book. I know it's a good find, and I can't remember getting a second important find there, so I think that must be it.

I fought the Stroka earlier (before chapter 7 I think, definitely before chapter 8 ) but haven't come across any mini-boss fights here this time around (chapter 8-9). Still can't find it, but thanks for trying to help me. I'm moving on to confront Gaelin now without completing that quest. I think I need screenshots for this one. I remember I had trouble finding the Frost Giant because of all the white on white glare. I need younger eyes! :)

I'll see if I can get you a screenshot once I'm home then. And maybe add something to that map so the skeleton stands out a little more and isn't white on white.

New update to the game is available now too! It fixes the couple of typos you all sent to me, and you can't walk on the tent anymore. Also Jarvis will now join at level 21 when he joins, as a result he'll have more SP to use when he joins the party.

by the way ... you underestimated the number of hours for the game ... I am at the beginning of chapter 4 and I reached 40 hours .. granted I did most side quests so far and explored everything possible very careful(I play with no guide at all after all but who knows ... maybe I reach 80 hours until chapter 9 ... +::YAY

Lvl 32 at the end of chapter 3 with all characters except Savina - lvl 30 and obviously Rene - lvl 17

I figured it out, the Book was blocked by a tree which is why you weren't finding it. In fact, I'm not sure how anyone found it to this point. I moved it more into the open and put some dirt under it so it is not as much white on white. I'm going to send another update to fix this and one other thing tonight to Indy as well.

Level 32 at end of Chapter 3? You should be able to sleepwalk through Chapters 4 and 5 as the monsters there assume low 20's for levels. I'm usually your level at the end of Chapter 6.

As for the time, that was hard to judge. I can beat my own game in about 20 hours but I know where to go and have read all the dialogues often so I can speedread them. So what I did was I took my time and doubled it.

Couldn't agree more. I'm way over 40 hours. I've been doing all the optional stuff. I suppose if someone just did the bare minimum then maybe 40 is a reasonable estimate. But then, what would be the point?

Don't forget he's doing hard mode, so needs those extra levels.

I have purchased the Book of Shadows.

I'm still inside the intro. My character keeps getting too close to a wall or object and then refuses to move.

My mouse is on, but even if I try with the arrow keys he just stands there. lt will require too many saves to restart and keep him moving.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Good to know I couldn't have found it even with my dark glasses. :)

10 of my characters were level 99 by the time I reached the final dungeon., Renee was 92 And I did NO repeats of any area just to 'level up.' There's just that much stuff to explore. It's an incredibly vast and rich area. So much to do. Final hour time for me 99 hr 48 min. Just for comparative purposes-Near end of chapter 3, Renee level 18, others 24-26. Jarvis and Elliot don't show yet. Playtime 23:37:43. 7 active quests (A Lively Undeath, The Crazy Giant, The Package, Runaway Chicken, Yum?, The Ultimate Drink, The Rare Magazine), 13 completed quests (I won't list them, and those 13 do not include main quests). As I said in an earlier post, I tend to play very conservatively. Still, I agree I don't know how anyone could finish this in 40 hours. Do you have Renee equipped with the Learner Bracelet for increased experience? You're going to love the optional bosses you can encounter before the grand finale. The terror ogre, an insane enchantress, and Lucy were really satisfying to beat, but the greatest gratification was besting Mutagen. Once you gain control of a sailboat later in the game, Oh the Places You'll Go. :)

It's been a really fun game to play and I'm going to post a review soon.

That usually means something else on your system is being registered by the game as moving the character. This can be an outdated mouse driver, or a gamepad that is seen as active, or even a touchpad that is still active. I'd suggest trying it with your mouse off first and see if that fixes it. It not you may need to update keyboard drivers as sometimes older drivers will force the engine to think you're always going left when you are not.

It can also be your antivirus going ballistic too. You may need to go into your ant-virus and tell it to let the game is safe and ok to run.

Any chance you can post a screenshot or PM me one of a wall you get stuck on so I can see it?

Glad to hear it! What ending did you get of the 6 on your first try?

Two options just didn't set right with me. I didn't trust that a certain someone could resist and I sure didn't want to go out in a blaze of glory. That left me with 2 options and since one of those two was considered risky, I went for the relatively safer option. Of course I went back and tried out two more options. I still liked the outcome of my first choice best.

Oh, and before I forget, @littlebro- if you like Dwarven dancing, wait until you see the victory dance. Gotta love Dwarven Twerking and the crowd doing the Tir Koraz Wave. +::YAY

Question regarding some of the more powerful spells. I deduced that CD probably means cool down and it takes that many rounds before it can be cast again. I timed Cedric's spells in particular according to the CD. But I never figured out the WU. I just never could figure out when I'd be able to cast that spell again. Frozen Slash comes to mind. I'd go through several battles with the spell being greyed out and then, lo and behold, I'd finally be able to select it. In the end, I just avoided those spells hoping they'd be available for the final battle. Then it became a moot point. Still, I'm curious as to how WU works.

So sounds like you get ending 5 then if I read between the lines correctly. As for WU, that means warmup. Warmup means you can't use that skill until that many turns pass in battle. Most skills with WU have a WU of 2, which just means you can't use them on the first turn of battle.

there are 6 ENDINGS ? Wow .... can we get all of them in one playthrough by loading and reloading from close to the end of the game or we have to replay the entire game for some of the endings ?

2.) Does Whitney's bread do something ? I couldn't see any difference when I tried to eat it

1) You can get most of them in one playthrough. The ending is based on how many Entities you find (there's one ending for only having 1, one for 2 and one for all 3 Entities present) and if you find a couple other things before the final battle, and what you decide to use in the end.

2) Whitney's bread raises everyone's LUK by 4.
