So where do I go is there a Elmwood Pit somewhere????

My quest book says head to Old Elmwood and so if we can find something that will allow us to do a long range teleportation.
Thanks

You want the cave that is in the same area. Or you can leave and try to come back, and select go to the Pit instead when it asks you if you want to explore the area or not.

Spoiler: show
the waterstone is found in the underwater area .... regarding Alexia : did you find her first and she moved away or you didn't found her so far ?

Gosh, I thought I went through that area carefully, but I"ll go back, thank you. Re: Alexia - I only have the quest from the student looking for her. I haven't found her anywhere yet.

edit: found the waterstone. I found it way earlier, but I guess I didn't interact with it properly. Thanks for the heads up!

lost Pete the dragon!

Postby dgford » Wed Oct 16, 2019 12:12 am

I can't find Pete anywhere. Last I remember, I had him take me "home"...and now he isn't in the cave anymore. I've gone to the other spots, and I can't find him. Is this a bug or did I just really lose him?

What Chapter are you in? His location varies some as follows:

Spoiler: show
Chapter 5: At location you give, home is in the caves under the tower.
Chapter 6: At location until a certain event, then at Thundermeadow Beach.
Chapter 7: By the beach.
Chapter 8/9: Not available.

I'm in chapter 7. He already healed up, and then I started riding him around to various places. I went "home", and when I went back into the cave below the basement, he isn't there, and I can't find him anywhere.

Figured it out. I typed the wrong digit by accident and appears he disappears sooner than he should there. If you are stuck send me your save and I can tweak the value so he reappears on you (as long as you don't go home again in Chapter 7).

I'll send out a build fix for this soon too. For those who had BMT links expire as you were day one buyers and want this fix let me know and I can PM you more on how to get the update still.

Whew! Thought I was losing my mind. I'm ok now actually, if I could just find Alexia. Then I'll have all the quests done and can continue into the swamp. It's just taking me longer to get around b/c I don't have a dragon, but I've figured out how to get around that. Any hints on Alexia?? Thanks!

Alexia is located as follows. I'll put each step in separate spoilers.

Spoiler: show
1st location: Winter Island in Riverdale. She is in the SE side. Look for the Fairy wearing a hat.

Spoiler: show
2nd location: Crossroads, outside. She will be on the north side (not in the camp grounds, actual north side of the same map that you can enter the inn at).

Spoiler: show
3rd location: Elmwood Pit. She will be by the Mana Crystals. From when you enter it, go North until you return to the undead town, then west at the Healing Crystal. She will be by the blue crystals.

Spoiler: show
4th location: Silas Rest Lighthouse. You'll have to go to the beach near Silas Rest (North of it), then cross it to find the lighthouse. She's at the top of it. After this one, return to Aurora and report.

Ugh, thank you!!! I forgot that 1st place existed! I kept thinking it was a path back to the previous island, and not a different one. Omg....I walked EVERYWHERE....except there!!!

Tower of Storms? You are at Thundermeadow then. Fly Pete to The Seven City Area, then try to enter the Elmwood Forest. It should then ask you if you want to enter the forest, enter Elmwood, or go to the Pit.

There's 3, though you start with 1. You have to search for the other two, and they are pretty well hidden.

Spoiler: show
The ending is different if you try it with 1 vs 2 vs 3, so it might be worth attempting without all just to see the different endings. However, there is a clue in the last dungeon which tells you where the other 2 are.

yeah ... the clues were clear but at first for some reason I imagined I can't go underwater - forgot about the underwater area.

So I finished the game with a mega number of hours - I am probably the slowest guy so far - 103 hours +::biggrin

Obviously for the price of the game - it was well worth it for me. I played games that were 20 USD and they had only 10 hours ... I know littlebro said he finished the game on 30 september - 16 days later I finished it too :))) . Slow and steady progress .

As a review I can see almost everything was amazing in this game .
Pros :
- soundtrack/story/battles. Thanks for the link of the Pegasi song : you have any ideea how I can also download it into pc from soundcloud ?
- level of difficulty/possibility to defeat enemies way above your level when you are warned by using diverse strategies
- the fact that the npcs moved with the story from chapter to chapter and they reacted to what you did.
- the effort and interest put into long and detailed dialogues .
- a very big number of secret rooms - and I like that
- the dancing - as a profesional dancer myself I like that .
- discovering ultimate skills for every character . I love Pep rally and Ultra shield +::Dance
- at the end most characters reached level 99 - except Rene .
- multiple endings - got them all in the end - the one where you use all 3 entities seem like a true ending and the best one .
-possibility to buy books at the end to increase stats - I bought a minimum of 50 + 1 agi books and I had everyone with 50 more agility - even Rene was attacking first in this condition .
- the developer was always helpful and always answered on time on whatever question you have.
-satisfying final battle even with lvl 99 characters if you play on max difficulty - I couldn't wait to beat his ass lol .

Cons :
- too many objects where you interact with them and do not find anything into them - too much dialogue for every object - it's not a big complain but it can become annoying after a while .
- too many doors or places where you cannot go... and a lot of locked houses- the explorer in me kind of hates that
- Rene was the only character that seemed kind of useless until the end because her stats are so poor - if you maximize her for agility - she doesn't do enough dmg with spells ... if you maximize her spells she never attacks on time and so on - it's doesn't feel quite right playing with her in the party.
- the option to respec skills is still quite bugged because for example if you buy books to increase your stats permanently and then you reset your skills - those stats are lost - even after you requip the character with the same armor and items . In late chapters you will only use a handful of skills for every character realistically speaking so I wanted to reset every character skill to avoid my menu of skills of being crowded - just a clean menu with a couple of skills .

Overall the pros outweight the cons by a lot and I recommend this game 100% ... the price is well worth it .

Minor question at the end : why is Gaelin picture with white hood but when you fight him his character is dressed in black ?
I don't stop when I'm tired, I stop when I am done.

Thanks for the review! I'll comment on a couple of them in spoilers:

Spoiler: show
The Pros:
For the music, I don't know if you can. That depends on how the artist set it up. But the RPGMaker forums he has a dropbox link where you can get all of his royality free music, here is the forum page: https://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.ph ... ces.17312/

If you can't access it because you need to sign up first let me know and I can post it another way.

Glad you liked the option to buy books! I thought it a decent way to make money more useful in the late game, plus if you really wanted to you could grind everyone to 999 in all stats if you had the time. Sure, you'll break the entire balance of the game but if you do that I figure you earned it by now.

The Cons:
The dialogue on empty items was a toss up. Some liked it still and some didn't. I'm considering in my next project only putting it for things that have items, and see how it goes over, though my fear is by doing this people might not think it can be interacted with at all too (as that is how I think about it). Maybe I can make it an optional switch so you can control which one is used?

Good catch on the respec affecting if you used books. I'm not sure there is a good fix for that though due to how the engine works (as it reinitialises the actor to do the respec) but I'll think on it.

As for the question: Honestly an oops. I should have had him in the black robe in that scene when you confronted him, as I have no art of him in the white robe for a battle.
