A Spooky Teaparty!

I know there are other gamers on here who, like me, like the kind of games you produce. So I am wondering where they are ??

Halloween games don't seem to work as much as more classic, "epic" stuff. Happens for my own games too. +::O_o +::surrender

I like themed games. A Christmas-themed game would be nice. +::Dance

Anyway, I know tons of players who love Halloween and Christmas games, and I saw people adding comments in your Halloween game, Indi. I am just very surprised that no one even commented on this game, which is really really fun to play.

I am in the forest on the second level and trying to get the last sister to come with me. She is asking for 2 strawberry cakes and a souvlaki. I have these items and am trying to give them to her but she isn't taking them and is still asking for them? I can't progress wihout completing this quest?

I really like the 'epic' games and problem solving and quests and secret rooms etc and the themes of myths and legends. I struggle a bit with the darker games. This is partly due to my eye sight as I find it quite difficult to see what is there. I also am less keen on the horror themed games. I'm sure though that many people love them but for me they don't have as much replayability and I've never been a fan of horror/slasher movies. I also prefer trying to accumulate gold to buy things with. With the epic games I'm happy to play through again to see what I missed the first time round. Laxius Force was definitely my favourite and I also liked the Aveyond and Millenium series. I loved the Labyronia series and the recent Book of Shadows.

Sorry for that! It seems that I forgot something on that skeleton! A new version has been issued and you may download it from the link in the e-mail you received after purchasing the game. Don't forget to uninstall the game first, before installing the new version!

A Spooky Teaparty is definitely not a scary or even spooky game. It's a completely fun, dorky and witty game. However, I understand that people may not be as inclined to try a Halloween festive game.

Thank you, everyone, for the support! +::Thumbup

Although I do like a good horror movie (but not a slasher), I don't care for horror/slasher/gore games. And although this game is halloween-themed, it's not a horror game. It's a cute game with lots of cute items to collect and find. I also love the often witty comments some of the characters make. :)

I couldn't agree more with the two of you. For everyone who voiced requests for less dark/more fantasy games, these last two offerings (The Book of Shadows and A Spooky Teaparty) should be most welcome and well received. Perhaps the reason there hasn't been a lot of traffic on this site is because the Orfeas team is so responsive to questions that there's no need for the fans to come to the rescue. ;)

Hello OrfeasGS. I have purchased and enjoyed all your games up until now. I had this problem with another developer and was never able to find a solution to the problem. I hope that will not be the case here. I played the demo successfully for a while then took a break. When I returned to the game the dialog and all printed matter, names, item list etc were illegible. Mostly letters are missing from the words. I have never had this problem with your games in the past nor with any of Indy's offerings. I obviously can't purchase the game until this is resolved. Please advise.

Hello! Thank you for trying out A Spooky Teaparty!

Generally, fonts and letter display are being handled by the pc's graphics card, meaning that I cannot help with that at all. However, just to be sure, I need to know some more information. Click the spoiler below, please. It contains some questions that are very important.

Spoiler: show
0] Are you playing on the same pc that you played my previous games? Especially "The Prophecy Lies!".
1] Did you leave the game running and came back after the break?
2] Were any other programs running while playing the game?
3] Was there a specific dialog that triggered that issue?
4] If you restart the game fresh, will you be able to reproduce the same issue?
5] In the current save file, is every dialog distorted?
6] Are the letters missing i,l,L,e?
7] Are some letters switched with other characters like these: - _ |?
8] Are the icons displayed correctly in the menu (item icons)?
9] Do you have an a9 or a10 amd APU?

Too many questions, I know. However this is a very specific issue, that needs some digging in. I hope that there's an easy fix on my end.

Oh, that's great to know! Was it another program running? That's usually an issue with any game.

And once I entered the secret room, the colour of the item that shows the way goes back to the colour of the other items. Like the blue pumpkin in the first place changes to orange when I come out of the secret room. So it will be hard later on to find that secret room again in order to enter the mythical room within.

So, in effect, it would be better if I don't go into the secret rooms
Spoiler: show
until the end when I get the scroll that opens up the mythical rooms.

Just now bought the game and love it. I take a screen shot of secrets I find in every game I play and name it where i found them. 1st secret room would save as Dirt Catacombs, 3rd screen. It's easy to find it again +::Dance

I'm really glad you like the game, Lis! Gotta say... your strategy of taking screenshots and renaming them to remind you of the places of interest is very cool!
