Red Monkey Puzzle

Even if you bought the guide, this can be trying on your patience. The secret room found after completion is also where I found Tisinge later in the game.

So here are some hints. Okay way past hints. But if this doesn't get you past the monkey puzzle... Well, lets just say that some quests in the future are gonna get tough.

1. Get to the floor where you see a red monkey walking around. Even if you have trouble seeing the color red, the monkey looks very different than the others.
2. Get within visual distance of the red monkey and then remove the anti-monkey bandana you should be wearing.
3. Touch the monkey and he will steal some money and run away. Don't worry, it's not a lot.
4. Put your anti-monkey gear back on and leave the dungeon. Just exiting the screen is not adequate.
5. Re-enter the ruins and find the red monkey again. He is always in the same general area on that floor. Remove the anti-monkey gear and again touch the red monkey.
6. If Caius says something like "He didn't steal from us that time" then you know you have suceeded. I only had to have gold stolen once, but someone else reported they had to repeat the exit/enter process more than once.
Then, follow the monkey that disappears through the north wall of this room to find the secret room. This was harder for me than expected, so you might be hitting the wall a few times if you didn't pay attention to exactly where the monkey went.

the problem is that I did this enter and reenter of the ruins 8 times now - still no dialogue - the monkey just steals + runs away + disappears combo ....
I sometimes used angel wing to exist ruins faster - other times I just walked manually.
Can I get a confirmation from Indy that it can take forever for the dialogue from Caius with the monkey to appear or I am just doing something wrong and I don't know it ?

yeah ... tried returning to the village ... even slept at the Inn - then I went back .... in the meantime my plant flourished into a red germ from sleeping and walking around- hope I don't have to find water or something to water her lol .
I am just going to send you the save file to check the dash bug and the monkey .

Have you tried returning to the village not just exit marmaris?

Yeah ... he already said that long time ago - then he stopped saying anything. I even considered buffing his agility and LUK from the items - but that didn't change anything.


About the bug - first of all - is the speed of the characters fine ? like normal speed ? or it is slower ? I am asking because I feel like they walk slower by default - as opposed to what I am used to in other rpg maker games.
For now the shift key doesn't work - sometimes you just have to keep exiting and entering places and then it starts working out of the blue - no particular trigger.... but I am more concern about the monkey now.

Seems normal to me.

It should never work. Disabled and this dev here hates the concept of dash. But to make up for it, the default speed is faster in this game.

I am having the worst time with this red monkey... I have went threw 7 Angel wings.... I have completed quest 13 & 14 ...i have done all what is mentioned above.... Remove monkey bandana touch monkey follow monkey can't get threw wall up north when he goes there...
what am I doing wrong???
