This is definitely strange and I've inquired about it.
F12 (to get rid of it), save, exit, reload, and it's back?

Also on my version of the game I don't have it
I could probably try and "force" it not to show...

Same here. I have to disable FPS every initial load, and sometimes it just appears randomly after a battle. No biggie. It's easy enough to turn off, but it is a curious effect that it happens with some of us but not all of us. I haven't downloaded version 3 yet, still on verison 2. I will say version 2 is a huge improvement in speed/no lage over version 1.

I am playing ver. 2, because the code has again expired for downloading the game.

But, I have never had any appearance of the FPS data appearing in the upper left corner until I press <F2>.

Same here! Why do some ppl get it and others not? It makes no sense at all!
