It helps Sandy a lot, since her skill is based on luck.

While grinding, I noticed that Sarah learns her Revive spell on level 20. Is there any intelligent way we can practice this spell, up to 250 uses? It is not easy to have well trained characters faint on purpose 250 times! The same question applies for any similar Revive spell, of any character!

Thank you in advance!

There are items which, when equipped, add +1 use to all skills, all spells, or all technics (both skills and spells) for each successful battle, so no need to faint on purpose. :)

Also in harder modes and with some optional bosses, it tend to, ahem, naturally happen more than one might expect at first! +::biggrin +::surrender

Hum I never needed to grind revive or resurrection, I can say that much... +::YAY

I play in insane mode, but I suffer very few deaths. It takes just a bit of grinding and intelligence, and you win nearly every time, at least until the middle of the second chapter! Later, I don't know! It seems difficult to set up a revive upgrade.

Do the deaths you accumulate have any meaning? Do they count for something, like your kills? There is a fractional number, with kills at the left of the slash and deaths at the right!

I bought the game on April 19 or April 20! It lags in Azan and the manor? Is there a newer version to redownload since then? If so, is it possible to find, copy and transfer the save files?

In normal mode, you have to use each skill/spell at least 70 times in order to combine it with another (which also needs to be used at least 70 times) to create a new skill or spell. So even if you don't need to grind for experience, gold or restorative items, I would think you would still need to grind to get the required number of uses? Maybe it's different in hard and insane modes.

I haven't found anything thus far where an NPC has said, "Good for you. Because you died 37 times, I'm now going to give you this amazing 'I do-You die' relic." But, then, my first run through was very incomplete, just a speed through of the main quest/storyline.

The game is found (default, unless you changed it when you installed) in your appdata folder. To easily find it, open Windows Explorer and in the path bar (e.g. >This PC > Documents) type in %appdata%
Open the >LAXIUS-SOUL-ALDORLEA folder and Make of copy of the save folder and save it on your desktop, or somewhere else you can easily find it. This is very important, else you won't have your saved games when you reinstall.

I then use the uninstall file found in that folder. Then just reinstall the laxiussoul.exe file. Go back to the folder in %appdata% and you'll see a save folder, but it's empty. Delete it and copy and paste your save file there. You should be good to go.

I did find that the Ruins of Lyakine lagged a bit. I turned the animation settings down. Once I was out of there, I was able to turn the settings back up with no ill effect. I presume this is due to all those animated spiders.

You do realize my answer was tongue-in-cheek, right? I wouldn't worry about trying to increase the uses of anyone's revive skill. Just wait until you come across those accessories that will increase them after every successful battle. Also, you'll come across some magical places in secret rooms later on that will increase technics for either one or all players. When you have to choose one player, choose the one who is having the most difficulty increasing a technic, such as revive. The numbers will take care of itself, promise. :)

I'd say CH3 and 4 are more difficult.
That said you're right that grinding (and mastering the right technics) is very useful.

Do the deaths you accumulate have any meaning? Do they count for something, like your kills? There is a fractional number, with kills at the left of the slash and deaths at the right!

Unless my memory's faltering (which might be a possibility), nope, deaths don't have any impact beyond the one during battles.

I bought the game on April 19 or April 20! It lags in Azan and the manor? Is there a newer version to redownload since then? If so, is it possible to find, copy and transfer the save files?

There is a new version. You can redownload the game using the link you received by email +::Thumbup

Anyone with some advice for the fight with Yveen and Baretta vs those ugly faces? I keep getting creamed!

I think there is no obvious solution besides properly training Baretta beforehand to ease her dreamscape exploration. Getting her the best equipment possible, too. Yveen is a defensive characters and has different boosts which may help as well.

Thanks Indinera! Yeah I figured I would have to back to a previous save and work on Baretta a bit. Any hints on what level I should have her at or what skills/magics I should focus on? Or maybe there is a specific equipment I should have her use? LoL I know, I know taking all the fun out of it but any help will be greatly appreciated. :)

If you haven't mastered her Drama skill yet, that should probably be your first priority. Prior to mastering, it's a rather weak skill, but, once mastered, packs a pretty powerful punch. If you alternate Attack with Drama, and Yveen focuses on healing, you should be able to handle non-bosses.

I've been leveling Barreta in Vureen since she joined the party. It takes time, but she's frankly the easiest to level since she doesn't need a lot of resources. I gave her the Vantage Shield from SR3. If you don't have that, it will take a bit more time. She has the skill Condensation which drains MP from enemies, so she never needs any MP refilling item. Attack to get FP's > 25, Use Condensation to get MP, then use a magical spell. This should help her to master those spells. Spectral Morning packs a pretty good punch. It's not a combo spell. I'm not sure at what level she learns it but it's definitely worth it to master that one as well.

I have her equipped with a Divine Spear for the weapon. Other than the Vantage Shield, she's pretty much in the same defensive gear she was when she arrived. You may have better defensive equipment for her.

This is just general. Not sure what strategy is best for those ugly faces.

Thanks Lady JJ! All great advice!
I had planned on leveling her up in the next area after MSI and went to rest with the group and went right into the dream. I'll go back to a previous save and do what you suggested. A little bit of grinding never hurt anyone. ;) I do have pretty much the same equipment on her, but will give her the Vantage shield and go from there.

re-Baretta

I also find Spectral Mornings and Laser Show to be pretty worth mastering +::Thumbup

Then again if there is any Baretta expert out there, they can surely reveal some of their best tips about her.
