Piso king

is it possible to even kill the piso king?? I defeated him in the thorn fortress but the game said he escaped??

I'm wondering the same thing. Has anyone ever completed that quest? I think I remember reading a while back that someone did actually kill it, but then when they reported it back to the quest giver in the warehouse he died of a heart attack and Yveen had to revive him. I don't remember if the poster actually said how the Piso King was finally killed though. I'll see if I can find that post.

i have completed guild of benevolence quest 5 (raflesia invasion ) but it is still not completed in my inventory..the same goes for Piso, i killed it, talked to the old man, Yveen revived him, but havent got a quest complete( though i have the newest vesrsion of the game)

and D-Squall managed to kill him (no surprise there ) and posted this in the memories

I liked it more when I finally managed to kill him. What a pesky and annoying creature.

okay, I have a theory, maybe one of the three encounters with the piso king needs to be lost (I am assuming this because of the change in dialogues after winning and losing), on my first playthrough I killed him all three times, but I never managed to find the final encounter (then again I didn't do some of the last guild quests due to bugs and my own ignorance xD)

I thought I had all the requirements, I caused him to flee in Lykasine, Vruum and the Thorn Fortress and then when in MSI i went to Dem Bosch thinking he would take me to the Piso king but all he says is 'Great team work' and its impossible to get any other response. Does anyone know the trigger to get the right response. Has it anything to do with Bodken sightings?

If Dem Bosch is telling you 'Great team work' then you have done everything right, but you don't have the newest build. There was a bug where Quests 9 and 10 were mixed up. It was finally fixed. Download the game again. If your link says it's expired, reply to your BMT download email and request a new link saying the developer has uploaded a new build to fix some bugs and you'd like to redownload. You should get a quick response with a new link. To be on the safe side, copy your SAVE folder elsewhere. However, I think when you reinstall, the SAVE folder stays intact. But I always save the entire SAVE folder just to be sure. Dem Bosch takes you to the Piso King in this newest build. It's unfortunate that Indy doesn't make announcements when he's uploaded new builds to fix bugs.

Thanks for the advice, that was interesting. I reloaded the programme and loaded my savefile. Den Bosch had dissapeared!
So I went and did a few things in Azan and returned and there he was again! Now instead of saying 'Great teamwork' he says 'I'm keeping her company. Poor girl's been alone all the time'. Random then goes into an amusing rant about him dissapearing all the time and behaving like a frantic kid, but he just repeats about keeping the girl company. Still no offer to take me to the Piso king.

If he's saying he's keeping her company then you didn't meet the requirements. Did you meet up with the Piso King and fight him with both Random's party and Louthros' party previously? I don't know if it makes a difference whether you've won at least one, if not both, fights and then he escapes. If you have met the requirements and Dem Bosch still isn't offering to take you to the Piso King then that piece is still bugged. Maybe Indy will weigh in. I'm pretty sure you can ask him to look at your save file.

I did notice you said you had fought him twice before MSI so does that mean it's not neccessary to do all three encounters?

I'm not really sure. Understand that I've played the game 3 times and have managed to gather quite a bit of information, but that doesn't make me an expert. Only Indy can tell you for sure. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the fact you saved after interacting with Bosch. Maybe it triggered some kind of a switch while the quests were still mixed up. Do you have a saved game close to that point, but before you interacted with Bosch? Otherwise, I really suggest you send a pm to Indy and ask him if you can send him your save file so he can look it over. Truly, he's the only one who can fix it.
