$19.99

This is the latest game by Wolfsmoon Studios, an Aldorlea favorite already behind Verdungo, Angel Made and the latest Violet Kingdom, released earlier this year.

SUMMARY:

Raey Ragnos is a young warrior from the barbarian village of Umbridge. His brother Richter dreams of being a great warrior. Umbridge is surrounded by warring tribes all trying to take what the family has built.

Embark on the journey and watch his eventful life unfold before your eyes. From the cradle to the grave - Raey will take the player through a roller coaster of emotions as he endures everything that is thrown at him.

Raey is a classic single player RPG with modern elements included such as skill level ups and a Veteran Experience System to develop characters.

hey everyone Shane here.
Raey is my latest game (wolfs moon studios)

It's a pretty demanding and tough game. Leveling up doesn't help as much as you'd want- it's tough to grind your way out of the challenge- which is by design.
Raey has a hard life, it's part of the story...that being said---> i feel it's a beautiful story and I hope you enjoy it.

The attachment with his family & friends--- it's a story narrative that's a bit different from my previous games.

Congratulations on the release! So it's a high difficulty game, right? Looks interesting. Raey is the only playable character?

hey there.
I'd say it just takes a bit more tact, it isn't overly difficult. You just can't blindly grind through everything (make sure to heal between fights - that kind of stuff)

there are a LOT of playable characters- but RAEY is always in in your party-
in my other games i've split the story where you follow different characters,
where in this one raey is the story and the stuff he goes through.
if that makes sense.

Thats great cause in on of your other games I got all leveled up and doing real good then
it changed characters and I couldnt even fight the first few enemies right away!
I think u need to work on the dash cause when we go into an area it goes slow
butwhen we go into the towns it goes fast.

Hello again, Shane :)

I bought Raey straight away as I do love your games and already the story is so absorbing. I'm only into it about 2 hours so lots of fun ahead. Yes, the battles are a bit of struggle and I need to be mindful about keeping everyone's HP topped up. Mavina is quite a powerhouse so I hope I find her again...

I think I'd probably agree with blumyst as it is quite slow when you go into different areas, and quite speedy around town.

I'll keep you posted how I go ;)

merry & blum it's great to see you both again!

so here's the thing- this is a design choice by me that when you are in a combat area- the speed is walking.
i do that both for me as the dev and you as the players so you know this is an unsafe area.

think back to when you're a kid- if it's dangerous you don't run LOL.

always remember if there are too many fights ---> press escape on your keyboard and then run away.
escaping is tied to dexterity.

There will be a lot of fun characters.

Mardune ---> load magic up on him and unleash his spells. he's a super effective character early on while the rest of your team develops and grows legs!

craws hi you too! I do like your games cause I can get more than just 99 of the
health and mana tinctures or other supplies. I always think about that when
playung games from other developers. Therees jut one developer that allows
more than 99 of each items. Thats you! Its been fun and I still havent finished
your other games yet so I have alot to look forward to. RL keeps butting in when
all I would really like to do is play these games but even so I need to get up and move
around a bit to loosen up my bad knees. Keep the games coming please!

OH wow im surprised im the only one that does that lol.
most of my games you can take your character level up to 200 as well.

although I don't remember how high it can go in Raey, i think the max is 100 in this one.

That's a very high compliment though i appreciate it.

oh my goodness i def understand needing to get up and move around- the first half of my life/career was using my body to make money, now i have to use my brain which is probably good since im not old enough to have knee pain HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Hi Shane,

This is an interesting game with a great story so far...I am even losing sleep as I keep playing to see what happens next! I'm playing late into the night (for me) and skipping my afternoon nap +::lol

Currently, I am about 16 hours in with my characters leveled up to Level 21. My team is Raey, Plum, Sett, and Princess Rhiannon. I am battling my way through The Den. I am enjoying the range of playable characters with their different personalities and attributes.

My impressions so far - actually enjoying the music +::music which I usually don't pay any attention to as I tend to lower/mute the BGM. I find after numerous repetitions, it begins to grate on my last nerve but I'm enjoying it here. I seem to be particularly resonating with the inspiring (almost operatic) music during key moments - and I'm not usually into opera +::whistle

It took me a few false starts to realise I needed to strip the leaving characters of the best gear (esp. the learning stuff) for the new team coming on board - so save frequently people!!! I have been interested to work with each new team (+ Raey) to work out the best fighting strategies so I like that aspect. What I'm not quite so fond of is the encounter rate - one time I just took ONE step and was assaulted again +::O_o The battles are quite tough but doable - you need to work at it.

As you have already said - save often, heal up, and make sure you have plenty of supplies. With the Bucknal Passage, I would have been stuffed if I hadn't been carrying huge amounts of HP and MP tinctures and potions (in the range of 150-200). I am missing the crafting component you have in other games.

I wanted to also say I really liked Robellum - a rather reluctant Boss in the Bucknal Passage 2 who was finding people traipsing through his dungeon are real drag +::lol It was a shame to kill him off - maybe a touch of Barry nostalgia? I don't usually like Bosses - enjoy wiping them out - but I was a bit sad about Robellum +::cry

Okay, that's enough from me now - I'd love hear how other people are finding the game, and of course any hints/tips you are holding up your sleeves, Shane (because you always do), would be very welcome ;)

I'm glad you are enjoying it !! i really do appreciate that!

in ALL my games the music should be pretty fitting and hit just the right note for you. I tend to go above and beyond so that's my advice is ALWAYS play my games with the music on, even if it's turned down a bit.

The encounter rate annoys me too because keep in mind IT IS RANDOM.
for example i can set it- every 60 steps you get into a fight - and then in 1 freaking step you get a fight hahahaha.
so that annoys me also i get it-
keep in mind you CAN escape from fights if they piss you off lol.

make sure you always are wearing charms on characters so your stats keep boosting --
Raey needs a slick blend of attack and magic.
Most of the characters are easy enough to figure out. Plum only needs magic really.

You'll get veteran exp at lvl 30- so then you can boost stuff as well :)

There's a lot of loot hidden on monsters, for example in the killing fields that are north of the main town--- there are mini bosses that have good items (gemini ring ) etc.
so dont be afraid to hunt, it's typically when it's special named creatures.

for example----> the forests around your main town--- have 2 different named goblins you can encounter- they both drop MOON gear. which raises all stats- that's very handy early on .

I know the encounter rate must be random - but RANDOM IS NOT MY FRIEND +::grrr (with apologies to Indie)
Interesting, I need to change out the charms to boost different areas over time.
Yeah, yeah...hanging out for Level 30 +::lol
Mini Bosses - okay, did not run across them or the Gemini Rings, dang it!!! Or the MOON gear, either +::Annoyed

Oh, well...I am now exiled to the Scarlet Desert so it may be a while before I get back home.

Ive been getting moon gear, alot of it! I'm also trying to level up using the gremlins'
at the beginning of the game. Im not a fast player and take myt ime. Oh by the way i
JUST today got an email from Indy about this game so we caught it before others did.
Even bifeor they advertised it. I keep doing that! Im always checking the site out.
Im really glad I went searching for the zelda game cause thats how I found Aldorlea.
Ive even done a review bout the site on google search. Im so glad that leveling up makes it
so much easier to fight! In all the games ive been playing i always refill the mana before the
next fight and save.
