I have been in the secret room the boatman takes you to and also the one that is in the same spot, but there have never been any butterflies there!

Do you have the Myst Bag equipped on Marine?

You may need to enter and exit the temple a few times... +::Thumbup

Are you sure you're in the right secret room? There are two that the boatman takes you too. It is the one with the church. They are on the wall at the front of the church. You need the Air Sandals to get one of them.
