How to get to Sankt Leona

Okay, I'm in the snowy lands, have crossed the bridge and am at the iceberg blocking the way to Sankt Leona. Random says I'll need a way to thaw the ice. Have looked through my items, and nothing will work. How do I get through the ice and on to Sankt Leona? Thanks!

i also crossed the bridge and found the way blocked ...killed the bunnies and found the man. but he didnt sell me any shovel. there was a chest beside him and when i tried to open it all he said is THAT'S MINE or something like that. i spoke to him again but he didnt say anything new. what am i missing?
