Hi Cherry78,

I have just finished - took about 24.5 hours, leveled to Celestine (35), Sir Arnould (35), Djalmina (35), Christine (34), and Trinity (29). It got a bit hairy towards the end as I had run out of quite a lot of supplies so needed to get a bit creative swapping the Magic Mantle around to regen MP. I was really hanging out for a place to rest and re-stock somewhere maybe around the Nocturnis Castle (industrial steam punk looking place).

I am quite sure I missed any number of things but I had a great time +::Dance The characters and story-line were excellent - no one understood what Celestine saw in that prince. What a toad...right to the end!! I got used to the skimpy outfits for the girls, and focused more on the story with its twists and turns. When I looked back on my experience with your other game - Final Battle - I noted a bit of tongue-in-cheek there with the story too which I find very amusing +::biggrin

The battles were tough, in my opinion, but manageable if I could remember which bloody skills actually did damage rather than healing the enemy or, if used, reflected back to wipe me out (repeatedly)! It meant I had to be on my toes during the battles and keep an eye on strategy and not just bash away +::lol There was a good variety of beasties - those Manic watchamacallits (little beaky characters) were deceptively tough - not much HP but every time I turned around, they were healing up as though nothing had happened. I was disappointed I wasn't able to unlock all the skills but there would have needed to be more opportunities to earn stars.

Despite some level of frustration - getting lost and feeling like I could be forever trapped (AARRRGGGG), or failing to find the thing needed to progress (looking at you, Solstice Key) - I did have a great time and would highly recommend this game to others +::Thumbup

Many thanks, Cherry78 and your team +::kiss

Yeah, I did find that out, however between Djamina being targeted by them with weaken etc and lack of TP, it was a challenge +::O_o

The laser damage isn't affected by weaken so you're all good :)

Solstice key?

Postby jincyk » Sat Oct 05, 2024 4:43 pm

So apparently I need this key to open the door at the top of the Esoteric house? I don't have it, and I cannot go anywhere to look for it except for the Esoteric house and Zenonia. Does that mean I cannot progress? Is there a way to go anywhere besides Zenonia? The problem with this game is that if you miss something, you cannot go back and get it. I have multiple saves, but at this point if I gave up on the present save and went back, I'd have wasted hours. That's really not good. A guide...would have helped a lot.

Missed it the 1-3 times round - Solstice Key - go to the left (west) side of the large room and click on the little cherub statue up the top. Once you unlock the gate and stand on the circle, you will trigger a trap that takes you to the Underworld.

Sorry, but what large room? Is it in the Esoteric Tower or Zenonia? I've been all over both...they are the only places I can go.

If I remember correctly, the Solstice Key is much later in the game, when you are in Cersei's castle.

Back in the Esoteric House, I needed to kill 2 Bosses in order to proceed. Did you kill both the Queen and the Dragon Bosses in there?

Sorry, jincyk, I clearly got it wrong where you were - pay attention to rabbit + What does the Esoteric Tower and Zenonia look like?

Thanks, Rabbit. No, I only killed one boss in the Esoteric House. I assume that if I can get through the door on the 3rd floor I'll encounter the second boss. But I cannot open the door. How do I do that? I have banged on it at least 10 times in a row, but that doesn't do it.

Hi jincyk, if you found one boss, you can find the other, as they are on the same map. You don't need a key, as the doors are unlocked by killing the bosses. On the third floor, you bang a Chinese gong on the right to summon the Queen, and then a big black thing on the left (don't know what that thing is, is it another kind of gong?) to summon the Dragon. After this, you can proceed. Hope this helps!

EDIT: My apologies, I should have said third floor, not second floor. Hope I didn't make things worse!

I want to thank all who were the creators of this spectacular game. The characters were great and the graphics were breath taking. I enjoyed the storyline, although sometimes the characters +::lol were a little too chatty. It was one surprise after another. Definitely worth the price. I will be keeping so I can replay again. Thank you again!
