Do we get the items they were wearing before they died? I was checking my inventory and it looks like not??

I couldn't say for sure. I'm thinking that at least one of them did refund their inventory, but not all of them. The safest bet is to unequip them before you know it'll happen though, don't leave anything to chance. Or, at least don't give them any really rare/unique equipment.

Uh oh my sandy was wearing the linderitz scimitar when she died....and I can't find it in the inventory. Hope this isn't an issue in LF2 >_> I was reading the walkthrough on LF2 and it mentions equipping Cindy with it....is that going to be a problem?

The linderitz scimitar has the highest SP+ increase of any weapon Cindy can equip at that point in the game, where she'll need like ~3000SP(?) to get enough steal points to open the chest. The sword accounts for ~30SP more than the next best weapon she can equip.

Assuming you have everything else the walkthrough lists, especially the thieving+ hat, and the thievery points from the Thief guild, you would only have to account for that 30SP. As I recall she averaged 7-9 SP(?) a level, so you'd just need to level her up to ~54 instead of 50.

It comes from running around and checking every shop, every time the main game plot advances a half-step.

Indinera is tricky with the way he hides stuff in shops, and that's the only way to make sure you get everything. I believe the walkthrough does have them all listed now, so you can benefit from all the hard work everyone put into it. :)

What I hate is that Indi is so tricky that even if you do what you said, you miss out because some things have to be done out of order (think the demon parts in chapter 4...if you cleared everything as soon as you could you would miss all the demon parts...)

Yeah, but it's the good kind of 'tricky'. He makes you think, and he will reward you for it.

Like in the pyramid, how the message you got for an empty chest was rather tentative. That was Indy was straight out telling you to check every chest in the area twice, and sure enough there was a second Daj’mel saber in one of them. The same with the art frog quest in chapter 2, where you wonder to yourself "What would happen if I waited till Wendala is in the party to complete this quest? Sure enough, the artist makes a statue of Wendala too!

The LF games have a certain depth to them that have exceeded that of any other series I have played.
